Why are our carputer better?

Answer 1:

Because we design our computer as a Carputer from the start. It has no common look of a Home-use PC.

Answer 2:

There are many Home-use PC used as Carputer in the market. The problem with these PC may not be they are not powerful enough. The problem is they do not consider the wiring situation when it is used in car.

A Home-use PC when used in car may require as many as 8 cables. Each cable has different thickness and different length. Wiring all these cables into the car proved difficult even for the professional.

The 8 cables commonly are: Power switch cable, VGA cable, USB cable, COM cable, second USB cable (for GPS), RCA cable(if have second monitor), Sound Line-out cable, 12V DC cable (for monitor power). It is difficult to find these cables in exact length.  Troubleshoot when in maintenance if one cable goes bad proved to be time wasting.

Our 3-Cable-System wiring solved all these problems. The cables are in same thickness (slim 5mm in diameter). They can be cut to exact length. Twisted pair cable are better in electrical interference blocking (a common problem of wiring in car) and they can transmit digital signals better (up to 1000Mbps).

Answer 3:

Our carputer is designed for commercial fleet use. Provided advantages like fast installation, easy maintenance and works in tough conditions, endure round the clock usage. The metal casing is made of stainless steel as we know iron cast case will not stand the weather and moisture on the road.

Answer 4:

The motherboard we select are best for carputer use. They are quiet and low in power consumption. They are fast for playing digital movie and music because they have hardware decoder IC on board. They have two video outputs so you may install two monitors (or with RCA extender up to 4 monitors).

Answer 5:

Power in the car is different from your home. They are unstable, from low of 10V to high of 16V. For car monitor, if powered directly from the car generator without a stablizer. It will burn out the best LCD monitor in the world.

We only use stablized 12V DC to power your monitor(s). There are two 12V out rail (all stablized powered) for your monitors.

Answer 6:

Features like Auto Start Up, Auto Shut Down, Low Battery Protection, Forced Shut Down (to protect against draining your battery), Second Backup Battery (for extended non-engine usage time) can be easily added by our PCMP-120 carptuer power controller. Given you the best options.

Answer 7:

The Car Front Unit (Head Unit) can be installed near the driver seat. Easily mounted on by four screws. There is no hole to cut, no damage to make to your dash. While it provide all control, LED indicator, ports at easy to access place.

Answer 8:

All cables, power supply and input/output ports are pre-tested in our factory. You do not have to purchase any (untested) cable outside. You only need minimum amount of time, minimum set of tools to get our carputer installed in your car.
