MaxSwitch IIm
Modular Construction for
Easy Maintenance and Flexibility.
MaxSwitch II is a combination of 4 slot host cabinet and 6 kinds of media modules. A
maximum 32 x 10/100Base-TX switched ports can be achieved using 4 x 8 port 10/100Base-TX
switch modules. In the same way a maximum of 4 x 1000Base-SX or 16 x 100Base-FX ports can
be accommodated in the host cabinet. Any of the above modules can be integrated to give up
to 24 different combinations.
Scaleable Modules ease Migration Towards Gigabit and Fast
Ethernet
A module family consisting of either 8 x 10/100Base-TX ports; 1 x 1000Base-SX port; 2 x
100Base-FX port; 4 x 100Base-FX ports, allows the user to choose modules which optimize
network performance whilst reducing cost and complexity. By providing 4 G-Link bus
interfaces in the base unit, the user has the freedom to arrange any module in any slot
giving the ultimate in flexibility. The integration of 10/100Mbps and 1000Mbps technology
is now a simple matter of slotting in the desired module. By mixing different modules in
the same cabinet, the user ensures network performance and budget requirements are easily
met.
Gigabit Module Supports Full 1000Mbps Connections
The future of networking technology is here today! Install our Gigabit Module and say
goodbye to data bottlenecks. The Gigabit Module catapults your 10 and 100Mbps signals to a
full 1000Mbps for unparalleled uplink data capacity.
100Base-FX switch module extends the network distance up to
2KM
The 100Base-FX(SC/ST) switch module extends the distance between 2 switched hub or
switched hub to fileserver/workstation to 2KM if in full-duplex mode.
Intelligent SNMP internal modules are supported
The optional SNMP module is good for in-band and out-of-band SNMP management.
High Entry-MAC address and 9.6Gbps backplane improve Network
performance
MaxSwitch II features store-and-forward switching scheme. Every module has its own 12K
entry MAC address table to store source address. The backplane of the MaxSwitch II can
reach up to 9.6Gbps as to improving network performance.
