MaxSwitch III is a combination of 8 slot host cabinet which can optional a lot of kinds of media modules to fit your networking needs. A maximum 64 x 10/100Base-TX switched ports can be achieved using 8 x 8 port 10/100Base-TX switch module. In the same way a maximum 8 ports 1000Base-SX/LX or 32 ports 100Base-FX can be accommodated in the host cabinet. Any of the modules can be integrated into MaxSwitch III cabinet without limitation. One Independence SNMP CPU slot for Layer 2 management function upgrade. The Optional SNMP intelligent module provides layer 2 management function for MaxSwitch III. Such as Web-based management, IEEE 802.1d Spanning Tree Protocol(STP), a bridge-base system making your network more resilient to link fail and also provide a protection from loop. IEEE 802.1q VLAN grouping capabilitis, which enable the system manager to group users logically. Port Trunking funcrion can increase more bandwidth on bottleneck of network. The CPU module with ability can auto-detect different switch module which slot in MaxSwitch III cabinet and show you panel on web browser.

A module family consisting of either 8 x 10/100Base-TX ports; 1 x 1000Base-SX/LX port; 2 x 100Base-FX port; 4 x 100Base-FX ports, allows the user to choose modules which optimize network performance whilst reducing cost and complexity. High Entry-MAC address and 19.2Gbps backplane improve Network performance
MaxSwitch II features store-and-forward switching scheme. Every module has its own 12K entry MAC address table to store source address. The backplane of the MaxSwitch III can reach up to 19.2Gbps as to improving network performance.
